The namesake, ACE, began way back in the early 80’s when Sheri was nicknamed by all of her big brother, Kenny’s friends. At that time, she was on the tennis team and that is where she was labeled ACE.
Baking was an easy passion early on for Sheri. There were failures on recipes quite often even though her father would try to choke them down. Baking is a science that takes love and precision that she has perfected over the years. When her nieces, Taylor & Hannah, named her sugar cookies, “Aunt Sheri’s Famous Cookies”, she started imagining herself in the baking business.
During that time, what better company to be employed by but The Pillsbury Company as a Sales Representative. When reflecting on those years, she can only smile at how her cookie recipe has progressed. The active duty soldier of the family, Shelby often receives care packages of famous cookies. He isn’t too picky, but given the opportunity to order, it’s freshly baked Peanut Butter with a small Resse’s cup on top. Sharing with other soldiers warms Sheri’s heart. Not many days go by that the oven isn’t preheated to bake cookies. Krista, her daughter, adds the artistic designs and precise royal icing to the Famous Sugar Cookies. At times, too many gals in the kitchen become chaos especially around the holidays….that’s when Glenn cleans up. It is a family affair, especially as Glenn waits for the overbaked fresh out of the oven cookies. The whole family is excited to introduce you to the deliciousness that is known as ACE Catering and Cookies!
